William G. Ryan, BVSc, DipM, MBA
Vice President, Clinical and Medical Affairs
Dr. William Ryan joined Topaz Pharmaceuticals as Vice President, Medical and Clinical Affairs, in November
2008. Prior to his work with Topaz Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Ryan was a scientific communications executive
with the Grey Healthcare Group. He has held various positions in technical, scientific, and commercial
pharmaceuticals in the U.S. and abroad for Merck AgVet, Merial, and Smith Kline and French. Dr. Ryan
graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Melbourne in Australia and practiced in
Australia and the United Kingdom. He has over 20 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry with
a post-graduate diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK and an MBA
from New York University. Dr. Ryan has published extensively on the effects of internal and external parasites, and on the use of
ivermectin and other antiparasitic drugs.
