Lisa DeLuca, BS, MS, PhD

Dr. Lisa DeLuca brings over 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry to Topaz Pharmaceuticals.
Prior to joining Topaz Pharmaceuticals in 2008, Dr. DeLuca was Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs
at YM BioSciences. She has held regulatory positions at AstraZeneca, Centocor, and Wyeth, and drug discovery
positions at SmithKline Beecham (now GlaxoSmithKline) and The Upjohn Company (now Pfizer, Inc.). Dr. DeLuca's
regulatory experience spans the drug development spectrum, from preclinical through NDA/BLA and postmarketing
activities. She has experience in a broad range of therapeutic areas including cardiovascular,
gastrointestinal, analgesics, anesthetics, oncology and infectious diseases. Dr. DeLuca received her PhD from
the University of Toledo, where she studied the differences in carbohydrate metabolism between parasites and
their mammalian hosts.
